What is ACR?

ACR stands for Authentic Clothing Reselling, a newer money making method that has recently gained popularity on TikTok as people are sharing how they make over $10,000 a month by doing this. Authentic Clothing Reselling is better than regular reselling that you may have already seen on TikTok as it is actually legal, even though the profit margins are much higher - importing and selling counterfiet items is illegal in most countries, also you are scamming the buyers as if you say that they`re fake then no one will purchase your products and you will be left with hundreds of pounds worth of fake chinese replicas.

Authentic Clothing reselling is actually much easier as you don`t feel restrained by any ethical boundaries.

How does it work?

There are three main apps/websites which you can use for this: Ebay, Vinted and Depop. The way that it works is that you go on these websites and search for undervalued items and you buy them, you can send offers to the people aswell, you don`t always need to pay full price. After you have bought them, you should list them on all of these sights for a higher price then you paid for them - this will then leave you with a profit

What are the best items to resell?

• Ralph Lauren quarter zips - you can find these from anywhere under £30, if you search well you should be able to find a good quality one within a day for this price - you can then sell this for around £60, leaving you with around £30 profit. Make sure, when looking for these that they are adult sizes and in a good colour such as black, grey, white, navy etc. because if not you will find it harder to sell or they won`t be worth as much

• Ralph Lauren Bear Knit - if you are looking well then you may be able to find one of these for around £100 which is a good price as one in good condition and a good colour can sell for anywhere around the £220 mark, which is a profit of £120, this is always a good find as some people don`t know what they`re worth so will list them for a cheaper price. Make sure that it is a knit and not just a print on jumper or else it won`t be worth that much.

• Ralph Lauren USA flag knit - you may be able to find a few of these items in good condition and a sellable colour for around £60 abd you can sell this for about £120 which would be a £60 profit. Again confirm that it is a knit.

• Anything! Anything has value especially clothes are undervalued and someone will be willing to pay a lot for them - I could make a list 1000 items long but it would take forever so I will leave a file attatched with around 50 different items that if you start reselling now, could make you rich...

Remember do not be limited to this list there are thousands of different products that you could resell, find what works for you.

How do I scale this?

There are multiple ways you can scale this operation - it is easy to make around £1000 in your first month or so but you want to make more. One way that you could do this is by hiring someone to do this for you, double the work done in the same amount of time. If you don`t feel like hiring someone and you are too busy to manage someone and possibly in the future a whole team or you already have a job or you`re a student, then buying from wholesalers could be the way to go - one trusted wholesaler platform which many people use is called Fleek. Wholesaling is buying in bulk, so you may get 20 peices of Ralph Lauren for £20 per peice, they sell in bulk and are able to give you a great deal. You can then sell these items as usual for much more than you bought them for. This can help you to scale your business rapidly as you won`t have to waste time on scowering these different platforms for the right deal - with wholesaling you don`t get a choice of what colour or size the pieces are going to be but you should still make a large profit.

Extra tips

There are AI bots that you can link to your vinted store and you can set them up to buy things that you tell it to automatically, this means that you don`t have to always be searching yourself.

If your item has been up for about 2 weeks, that is too long and reuploading the item on vinged is a better option, there are also vinted bots for this.

Have a professional store - use Canva AI to generate you a professional looking profile picture and store banner.

Good photos are very important, set up your product neatly in an area with good lighting - take all of your photos in the same place to make your store look more professional and uniform.
